DELTA PSI CHAPTER HISTORY

Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated – Delta Psi Chapter proudly celebrates fifteen (15) years of sisterhood and service, under the current leadership of Dr. Allison Burke-Rush. Chartered on March 26, 2010, in Atlanta, Georgia, Delta Psi Chapter is part of the Southeastern Region. The chapter was established under the administration of Past National President Jean Dade Batchie and Past Southeastern Regional Director Brenda Bennett.

The eight visionary charter members who came together to organize this chapter were:

  • Nora A. Coes (Sponsor)

  • Patsy Diggs

  • Rena Fletcher

  • Rosetta Nobles

  • Drewnell Thomas

  • Barbara Triggs

  • Brenda Moore

  • Dr. Michelle Townsend

Since its founding, Delta Psi has continued to grow in impact and leadership. In August 2022, chapter member Soror Sonda Bradfield was elected as the 19th National President of Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, at the 35th Biennial Boule.

The chapter has also extended the Sorority’s reach through auxiliaries. Delta Psi proudly chartered its first men’s auxiliary group, the National Council of SHADs (Club #63), and in 2023 began forming its first youth group to cultivate the next generation of leaders.

In recognition of its commitment to service and community uplift, Delta Psi received the Sistah’s Helping Sistahs Philanthropist Award from the Antioch AME Women’s History Month Committee.

In July 2024, Delta Psi and the great city of Atlanta had the honor of serving as the backdrop for the 36th Biennial Boule, welcoming Sorors from across the country in true Southern hospitality.

Delta Psi remains deeply committed to Eta Phi Beta’s objectives and the Sorority’s enduring motto:
“Not For Ourselves, But For Others.”
With love, cooperation, and the many talents of its Sorors, Delta Psi continues to shine as a beacon of service, sisterhood, and excellence in the Southeastern Region.
